Me: "What ? You are selling cars, not pensions. I am not asking for credit or any kind of financing. I want to buy a car for cash. What's your best price ?"
Robins & Day Chiswick Salesman: "Sir, If you contact the FCA you will find that we are regulated by the FCA and because of that we are prohibited from discussing the prices of our cars over the phone. You have to come into the showroom."
Are you serious ?!!! What sort of training do these people get ? I am more than happy to take my cash elsewhere. And it won't be to another Peugeot dealer. If this is the kind of self-serving nonsense they come out with to get a sale you better take care. A lot of care.
